|The final day of classes in the Mehlville School District is Monday, May 23rd. It has been an amazing year thanks to our staff, parents and the community members who have given the District so much support during the past 12 months. Welcome to Hagemann Elementary!
What is HPO?
HPO stands for Hagemann Parent Organization. This group consists of ten officers and the entire parent body of Hagemann Elementary. Meetings are held monthly and are posted on the Hagemann Elementary School’s website as well as a calendar will be sent home. Elections of the officer positions take place in late spring of each year. The term served is for the following school year. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend the meetings.
What does HPO do?
HPO provides activities for Hagemann students and their families such as the School Picnic, Fall Festival, Adult Crazy Bowl and Holiday House. HPO actively fundraises through various ongoing events, specific programs and activities. The funds enable us to offer many varied programs and projects, all for the betterment of the students’ education. These funds include the purchasing of computers and audio equipment, Enrichment programs-Field Trips and in-school invited events, teacher gifts of $200 to each teacher to assist them in stocking their classrooms with needed learning supplies, and the new “Playground”.
The Hagemann Elementary School HPO’s mission is to enrich the education experience by promoting the welfare of students, promoting cooperation between parents, staff, and students, assist in obtaining supplemental resources and opportunities and encouraging parental involvement.
